I have joined the group "Blogging from A to Z" . This is a a month long challenge to write a short story everyday and each day corresponding to the letter of the alphabet. I have linked up the site - simply click on the name so that you might read any sort of short story from the huge line-up available. the stories are supposed to be short so that many can be read, quickly. Simply a titillation of talent. Happy reading, and thank you for joining me.
K is for Kismet
“But most honorable Sir. It is my fate that she and I met. I am sure it is my destiny to be married to such a beautiful, intelligent, and hard working girl.” He begged Sylvia’s father for her hand. “I have brought you two goats and two chickens. Is this not enough?”
“Ah, good.” Said the father. “I am glad you understand Kismet. For it is my daughter’s fate to marry someone better than you. My daughter will fetch much more than two goats and two chickens. My Sylvia will not marry into a family of dirt farmers. Your fate is not my Sylvia’s fate.” With that he quietly closed the front door to their home.
